About Dr. Headstream:

 

Dr. Thomas Headstream has served the Abilene healthcare community for over 30 years. He joined West Texas Health (formerly Abilene Diagnostic Clinic) in 1984, where he currently practices as an Internal Medicine Physician, and serves as Physician Board President. He has also maintained Medical Directorship of Critical Care Services, served as the Chairman of the Institutional Review Board, and is a member of the Medical Executive Committee for Hendrick Medical System.

Dr. Headstream has a special interest in Pulmonary Disease and Intensive Care Medicine.  He is proficient in cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement, stress treadmill evaluation, Doppler and 2-D and M-mode echocardiography.  I also currently perform flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy.  I routinely supervise ventilator management of patients in the Critical Care Unit at Hendrick Medical Center South.
